Work details: This is to facilitate asphalt repair. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.

Location: Osborne Street from Withrod Drive to Herring Cove Road
Date: Friday, May 12

Traffic Delay – Wyse Road
Location: Wyse Road, between Dawson Street & Nantucket Avenue
Date: Friday, May 12
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is to facilitate borehole drilling on the sidewalks of Wyse Road and Faulkner Street.
Traffic impact: A southbound lane drop will be in place on Wyse Road. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Location: Old Sambro Road, from Sussex Street to 191 Old Sambro Road
Date: Thursday, May 11
Time: 2-4 p.m.

Public Service Announcement
Trail Closure – Penhorn Lake Park Trail
Location: Penhorn Lake Park Trail
Date: Tuesday, May 9 and Wednesday, May 10 Wednesday, May 10 and Thursday, May 11
Work details: This work will upgrade the existing stormwater channel into Penhorn Park. The existing stormwater outfall in this location has already been removed and will be replaced with a new stormceptor to help treat the stormwater. A temporary construction easement will be in place for cutting some trees along the alignment for the stormwater channel upgrades.
Traffic impact: The trail will be closed at times to facilitate this work. Users are asked to exercise caution and be aware of barriers, staff, and equipment on site.

Traffic Delay – Highway 2
Locations:
- Highway 2 – Sunnylea Road to Collins Drive (9 a.m. to 11 a.m. only)
- Highway 2 – Fall River Road roundabout to Rocky Lake Drive (11 a.m. to 1 p.m. only)
- Highway 2 – Coach Avenue to Holland Drive (1 p.m. to 4 p.m. only)
Date: Wednesday, May 10
Work details: These delays are a result of ongoing road construction projects in support of the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: There will be lane drops in place, with occasional stop and go while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Traffic Delay – Bum Run
Location: Dartmouth
Date: Sunday, May 7
Time: 8 a.m. to noon
Details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate the 2023 Bum Run.
Traffic impact: The run will impact:
- Sullivan’s Pond
- Ochterloney Street
- Crichton Avenue
- Glen Manor Drive
- Micmac Boulevard
- Brookdale Crescent
- Prince Albert Road
- Nowlan Street
- Hawthorne Street
The event will be traffic controlled. Residents should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Construction – Broad Street
Location: Broad Street (north) and Larry Uteck Boulevard
Dates: Tuesday, May 9 to Sunday, July 9
Time: 24/7
Work details: This work is related to the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Larry Uteck Boulevard, Brookline Drive (north) and Broad Street (north).
Traffic impacts: Larry Uteck Boulevard will be opened to motorists with local access only to Broad Street (north). Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists will detour to Bluewater Road and Gary Martin Drive. Pedestrian and cyclist access is not permitted through the construction site during active construction.

Traffic Delay – Joseph Howe Drive
Location: Joseph Howe Drive, between Rosemount Avenue and Walton Drive
Date: Monday, May 8
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate underground utility work.
Traffic impact: A lane drop will be in place for southbound traffic. The sidewalk on the west side will be closed. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Location: Jubilee Road, between Chestnut and Walnut streets
Date: Friday, May 5
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate underground utility work.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. The sidewalk on the south side will be closed. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Public Service Announcement
Road Closure – Robie Street
Location: Robie Street (south bound), from Cunard Street to Quinpool Road
Dates: Tuesday, May 2 to Friday, May 12
Time: 24/7
Work details: This work is related to the installation of underground infrastructure for the development at 6015 Quinpool Road.
Traffic impacts: Motorists, cyclists and Halifax Transit will detour via Cunard, North Park, Trollope and Summer streets and Veterans Memorial Lane. Pedestrians will maintain access via Robie Street sidewalks on the east side of the road (along the Halifax Commons). Halifax Transit will be temporarily closing the three south bound bus stops between Cunard Street and Quinpool Road on the west side of Robie Street. A temporary bus stop will be placed on the south side of Cunard Street between Robie Street and North Park Street. Residents should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

**** Halifax Water Release
Wyse Road & Jamieson Street Area – Curb & Sidewalk Reinstatement
On behalf of Halifax Water, ARCP Limited will complete curb and sidewalk reinstatement work in the Wyse Road and Jamieson Street area. This work will take place from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM beginning Monday, May 8, and continuing for approximately three weeks.
During this work, there will be rolling sections of stop-and-go traffic on:
- Windmill Road near Jamieson Street
- Jamieson Street
- Wyse Road near Jamieson Street
- Cairn Street
- Graham Street
Rolling sections of the sidewalk near this work will be closed with pedestrian detours in place.
This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area.
This is part of the Wyse Road & Jamieson Street Infrastructure Upgrades Project. Learn more at halifaxwater.ca/project/wyse-jamieson-upgrades.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 105, North Sydney
The intersection of Highway 105 and Tobin Road is reduced to one lane for roadwork until July 31.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge, Truro
Salmon River Bridge, on Highway 102 between exits 14 and 14A, is reduced to one lane northbound until October, due to work on the bridge decking.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice due to a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Apple River Bridge
Apple River Bridge, on Shulie Road between Advocate and Joggins, is closed until further notice due to structural damage.
Signs and a detour are in place.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford/Lower Sackville
Highway 102, from Exit 4A to Exit 4C, has lane reductions and intermittent road closures on the northbound and southbound highway for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 Interchange.
Highway 102 northbound and southbound, Highway 101, Bedford Highway, Bedford Bypass, Duke Street, Glendale Avenue and Sackville Drive have intermittent road closures for blasting until June 30.
Traffic control will be on-site. Road closures for blasting occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Lane reductions occur from sunrise to sunset Monday to Thursday and from sunrise to noon on Friday.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp is closed until September.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104, Barneys River
The new Barneys River Interchange will be used to detour Highway 104 traffic until May 31, to prepare for the opening of the new highway.
Signs will direct drivers through the roundabouts. Approaching traffic must yield to traffic already in the roundabout.

Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.
