Road Closure – Jubilee Road
Location: Jubilee Road bridge, with the closure in place between Bloomingdale Terrace and Fairfield Road
Date: Monday, April 24 – early November
Time: 24/7
Work details: The road closure is necessary to complete rehabilitation, repairs and safety improvements to the aging CN bridge on Jubilee Road. This work will include the rehabilitation of the arch bridge structure, as well as the full replacement of the paved surface, railing and the sidewalks, as well as water and sewer work by Halifax Water.
Traffic impact: The nature of the work requires that a small section of Jubilee Road be closed to all vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians. Detour signage will be in place for all users for the duration of the closure.
Local access, including to the St Mary’s Boat Club, will be maintained from Quinpool Road via Prince Arthur Street.
The municipality and CN are collaborating to complete the required work in a safe and timely manner, while also minimizing the inconvenience for residents and commuters. Your patience is appreciated while this work is underway.

Road Construction – Larry Uteck Boulevard
Location: Larry Uteck Boulevard at the intersection of Brookline Drive (north) and Broad Street (north)
Dates: Tuesday, April 11 to Thursday, April 20 and Monday, April 24 to Tuesday, April 25
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is related to the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Larry Uteck Boulevard, Brookline Drive (north) and Broad Street (north).
Traffic impacts: Motorists will detour to Bluewater Road and Broad Street (south). Roads will re-open after 4 p.m. Pedestrian and cyclist access is not permitted through the construction site during active construction time. Pedestrians and cyclists may also detour to Bluewater Road and Broad Street (south). Residents should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Construction – Glendale Drive
Location: Glendale Drive, Between Beaver Bank Road and Riverside Drive
Date: Wednesday, April 19
Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Work details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate road construction.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Upper Water Street
Location: Upper Water Street at Duke Street (in front of Historic Properties)
Date: Friday, April 28 to Monday, May 1
Time: 9 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday
Work details: This is the first of several closures along this segment to allow for the installation of new sidewalk, bike lanes, and asphalt in front of Historic Properties. This work is in support of the Cogswell District project.
Traffic impact: Residents will be directed around the construction area by signs and traffic control personnel. A marked detour will be in place from Upper Water and Duke streets to Upper Water and Barrington streets, near the Baton Rouge restaurant.
Northbound vehicular traffic on Upper Water Street will be detoured west at Duke Street to Barrington Street. Transport trucks travelling northbound will detour at Lower Water Street moving west on Morris Street.
Cyclists will be required to share the road with vehicular traffic and follow the detour signs in place. Access to businesses will be maintained. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes.

Road Closures – Dalhousie Street and Oakland Road
Location: Dalhousie Street (from South Street to Beaufort Avenue) and Oakland Road (from Studley to Beaufort avenues)
Date: Monday, April 17 to Friday, May 5
Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (reopening overnights and weekends)
Work details: Road closures will be in place to facilitate road construction.
Traffic impact: The streets will be closed while work is underway, with a signed detour route in place. Local street access will be maintained and the sidewalks will remain open. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use alternative routes whenever possible.

COLCHESTER COUNTY:
Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY:
Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice due to a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY:
Apple River Bridge
Apple River Bridge, on Shulie Road between Advocate and Joggins, is closed until further notice due to structural damage.
Signs and a detour are in place.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY:
Highway 102, Bedford/Lower Sackville
Highway 102, from Exit 4A to Exit 4C, has lane reductions and intermittent road closures on the northbound and southbound highway for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 Interchange.
Highway 102 northbound and southbound, Highway 101, Bedford Highway, Bedford Bypass, Duke Street, Glendale Avenue and Sackville Drive have intermittent road closures for blasting until June 30.
Traffic control will be on-site. Road closures for blasting occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Lane reductions occur from sunrise to sunset Monday to Thursday and from sunrise to noon on Friday.

HANTS COUNTY:
Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp is closed until September.

HANTS COUNTY:
Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

LUNENBURG COUNTY:
Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY:
Highway 104, Barneys River
The new Barneys River Interchange will be used to detour Highway 104 traffic until May 31, to prepare for the opening of the new highway.
Signs will direct drivers through the roundabouts. Approaching traffic must yield to traffic already in the roundabout.

RICHMOND COUNTY:
Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame
Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.
