Indigo Branded Papa Bear and Mama Bear Mugs Recalled due to Burn and Laceration Hazards

Issue

Mugs may crack or break when filled with hot liquid, posing a burn and laceration hazards to users.

As of September 27, 2022, the company has received eight incident reports in Canada of the mug cracking while in use, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received no incident reports or injuries.

Affected products

This recall involves Indigo branded Papa Bear and Mama Bear ceramic mugs.  Mugs have a white exterior with black print decal bearing “Papa Bear” or “Mama Bear” and ears on the rim.

The Batch Number is printed on the bottom of the mug.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mugs and return them to an Indigo store for a full refund.
