The municipality’s first raised crosswalks will be installed in 2022
Raised crosswalks make crossings safer by improving visibility of pedestrians. If you’re driving, watch for pedestrians and decrease your speed.
Raised crosswalks will be installed at four locations this year as part of ongoing traffic calming projects: Auburn Drive, Colby Drive, Southgate Drive and Arklow Drive.
The first photo shows an example of a raised crosswalk in Abbotsford, BC. The other three photos here show progress on Auburn Drive.
