Lunenburg District RCMP investigate fatal vehicle crash
The RCMP is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred on Hwy. 12 in Harriston.
This morning, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Lunenburg District RCMP, fire services and EHS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 12 in Harriston. RCMP Officers learned that a Ford Escape was travelling on the Hwy. when it left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch.
The driver, an 80-year-old Bridgewater man and the passenger, a 76-year-old Bridgewater woman were pronounced deceased at the scene.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Hwy. 12 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
