Yarmouth Rural RCMP seeking public assistance in theft investigation

 

Yarmouth Rural RCMP is investigating the theft of lobster traps set in the ocean by fishermen near Yarmouth.

On July 20, 2022, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Yarmouth Rural RCMP received a complaint of missing lobster traps that were set in the ocean by fishermen near Yarmouth. RCMP officers learned that approximately 70 lobster traps, belonging to one fishing boat, have been missing from where they were set since July 11.

The investigation is ongoing.
