Halifax District RCMP investigating fatal collision
Halifax District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Hwy. 2 in Wellington.
On July 15, 2022, at approximately 7:25 p.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of a collision on Hwy. 2 in Wellington. RCMP officers learned that a motorcycle had been travelling on Hwy. 2 when it left the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 52-year-old Fletcher’s Lake man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Hwy. 2 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
