An application has been made by a private company to infill Dartmouth Cove. According to Councillor Sam Austin.
“Dartmouth Cove Infill Application:
A numbered company, 4197847 Nova Scotia Limited, has applied to the federal government to infill a large water lot in Dartmouth Cove.
The application appears to be for the sole purpose of disposing of pyritic slate. Pyritic slate is an acid bearing rock that is common in Halifax and Dartmouth.”
