UPDATE
Police have concluded their investigation into the weapon complaint
No criminal charges were laid, but as a result of the investigation, it was determined that 10 people, (not all belonging to the home) were gathered and violating 71(1)(b) of the Health Protection Act.
As a result, 10 adults were ticketed.
Halifax Regional Police is reminding everyone to follow the current public health measures related to the COVID-19 emergency. We strongly advise members of the public to continue to educate themselves on these public health directives and COVID-19 enforcement measures, including those related to illegal gatherings and associated fines, at http://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/.

Police Investigate Weapons Complaint
Halifax Regional Police are currently onscene at a residence in the 100-200 block of Old Sambro Road in Halifax, regarding a weapons complaint. The incident began earlier when a report was made to police that a man was seen pointing a firearm.
The incident is contained and the investigation is ongoing. There are no current threats to members of the public.
Police have streets blocked to traffic along Old Sambro Road on either side of Dentith Road as well as Dentith Road by the Atlantic Superstore. Police are asking motorists and pedestrians to remain away from the area until Police have concluded their investigation.
There are no ongoing threats to public safety at this time and police remain onscene.
