On March 22 at approximately 10:05 p.m., Pictou County District RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon on Gairloch Rd. in Rocklin. Two men arrived at a home looking for assistance with a wobbly tire on their vehicle. Once outside the homeowner was hit with a metal bar and then sprayed with an irritant. Both men then fled the scene in a vehicle.

One man is described as white, early twenties, is 5-foot-8, weighs about 150lbs, has short curly dark brown hair and freckles on his face. He was wearing a plaid jacket, orange hunting hat and medical mask.

The second man is described as white, early twenties, is 6-foot and has short or buzzed hair. He was wearing a hat and safety glasses.
The vehicle used by the men is described as a dark colour, has six spoke wheels and has c-shaped taillights. The reverse lights are located in the lower bumper and it is believed to be a hatchback or SUV with a really loud exhaust.
