Road Closure – Brigadoon Avenue
Location: Brigadoon Avenue, from Main Street to Mount Edward Road
Date: Friday, Oct. 22 to Friday, Dec. 3
Time: Weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and occasional weekends as needed
Work details: Paving project with sidewalk and curb repairs. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Brigadoon Avenue, from Main Street to Mount Edward Road, will be closed on weekdays, and occasional weekends as needed. Local traffic access will be maintained. A marked detour will be in place while work is underway. The sidewalk will generally remain open, but will be closed at times as needed (with signage in place). Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Date: Thursday, Oct. 21
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Work details: This work is for paving, in alignment with the Bayers Road Transit Priority Corridor project.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place during this work. The traffic signals will be remain operational. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Hemlock Ravine Parking Lot
Location: Hemlock Ravine Parking Lot, 40 Kent Ave
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 20 to Thursday, Oct. 21
Time: 8 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Work details: This closure is to facilitate excavation work.
Traffic impact: The parking lot will be closed to all vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Road Construction – Cunard Street
Location: 5885 Cunard Street
Date: Wednesday, October 20 until Wednesday, October 27
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is to install an underground duct bank to connect to a new power source. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Traffic will be reduced to one lane in the westbound direction near 5885 Cunard Street. The sidewalk on the north side of Cunard Street will be closed from Princess Place to Robie Street.

Location: Granville Street, between Salter and Sackville streets
Date: Monday, Oct. 18 to Friday, Oct. 22
Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Work details: This work is to complete asphalt reinstatement. The west sidewalk will be closed from 1588 Granville Street to Sackville Street.
Traffic impact: Granville Street, between Salter and Sackville streets will be closed to traffic. A marked detour will be in place. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

**** Provincial Media Release
HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Dillmans Bridge, Meaghers Grant
Dillmans Bridge on Wyse Road is closed until further notice. A detour is available via Old Guysborough Road. Signs are in place.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
As part of the Highway 101 twinning project, the Exit 5A eastbound on-ramp will be closed until further notice, for construction of the new ramp.
Detour signs are in place.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102, Lantz
A temporary detour is in place on Highway 102 north of Exit 8, Elmsdale, for the replacement of the Nine Mile River bridges, northbound and southbound. This work is part of ongoing construction for the new Lantz Interchange and Connector Road.
The Lantz Interchange and Connector Road are expected to be complete and open to traffic by Sunday, October 31.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Highway 103
Highway 103, between exits 9 and 10, has alternating lane closures for roadwork until Sunday, October 31.
Work takes place 24 hours per day.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104, James River
Highway 104, westbound lane about one kilometre west of James River Interchange, Exit 30, will be reduced to one lane for approximately one kilometre.
Twinning work continues until 2023.
Signs are in place and drivers are encouraged to use caution.
