Gottingen Street – Patching Work

Update: Due to poor weather conditions, this work has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2020. All other details remain the same.

This evening, ARCP Limited, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be completing street patching work on Gottingen Street related to the recent water valve replacement in the area.

This work will take place on Gottingen Street near North Street’s intersection from 6:00 PM to approximately 8:00 PM on Monday, October 5. Traffic lights will be shut down at the intersection, and there will be stop and go traffic in the work zone. This work will not impact pedestrian access. See the attached work zone map for details.

Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

Quinpool Road – Lane Drops for Wastewater System Maintenance

On Saturday, October 10, 2020, Halifax Water crews will be undertaking work to repair a wastewater lateral on Quinpool Road. This work will take place between 8:00 AM and midnight.

During this work, Quinpool Road will be reduced to one outbound lane, and there will be no access to Quinpool Road from Preston Street.

Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

Lucasville Road – Lane Drops for Infrastructure Improvements

ARCP Limited, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be completing patching work on Lucasville Road related to previous infrastructure improvements. Halifax Water crews will also be replacing a water service near 819 Lucasville Road.

This work will take place from 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 (weather dependent). Lucasville Road will be reduced to one lane, stop and go traffic in the work zone; see attached map.

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
