Remains positively identified as Devon Sinclair Marsman

Human remains that were found during the Devon Sinclair Marsman investigation have now been positively identified.

In September 2024, investigators working on the Devon Sinclair Marsman case located human remains that were sent to the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service for identification. This week investigators received results confirming that the remains belong to the victim, Devon Sinclair Marsman.

The location where the remains were discovered will not be released at this time as court proceedings are ongoing.

Devon was last seen on February 24, 2022, in the Spryfield area of Halifax. On September 17, 2024, police announced that Devon had been the victim of a homicide and began laying charges.

Treyton Marsman, 26, has been charged with:

– Second degree murder

– Indignity to human remains

– Obstructing justice

A 20-year-old man who was a youth at the time of the murder has been charged with:

– Accessory after the fact to murder

– Obstructing justice

Emma Maria Meta Casey, 23, has been charged with:

– Accessory after the fact to murder

– Indignity to human remains

– Obstructing justice

Chelsey Herritt, 26, has been charged with:

– Accessory after the fact to murder

– Indignity to human remains

Police continue to keep Devon’s family and friends in their thoughts.
