Central Avenue – Wastewater System Maintenance
Halifax Water will be undertaking wastewater system maintenance on Central Avenue in Halifax on Thursday, September 24th.
This work will require the closure of Central Avenue between Cross Street and Alex Street near civic #40 from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. There will be local traffic only access to Central Avenue via Cross Street and Alex Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
There will be no loss of water, wastewater or stormwater services.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
For the safety of work crews and residents, please maintain social/physical distancing requirements of at least 2 metres/6 feet.
