The RCMP’s 2025 Name The Puppy Contest has begun!
Kids from every province and territory in Canada are invited to take part and send in creative names that reflect the important role these dogs will have in their careers as Police Service Dogs. This year all names must start with the letter “A”.
Contest details
Puppy names must start with the letter “A”; be 1 or 2 syllables; and have no more than 9 letters.
Contestants must live in Canada and be between the ages of 4 to 14.
Submissions can only be made using the online form. Each participant can send in one unique name (1 entry per person).
All entries must be received by Monday, March 19, 2025.
We can’t wait to see all the amazing “A” names entered in this year’s contest!
