Statement – Injured Firefighter
Halifax Professional Fire Fighter Injured During Thompson Street Fire – Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Earlier today, during the fire response on Thompson Street in
Dartmouth, one of our members sustained minor burn injuries to their hand while working as
part of the first-in crew.
These injuries were sustained during their efforts to bring two individuals
to safety.
The member was treated at the hospital and has since been released.
President Brendan
Meagher has been in direct contact with the member, ensuring they have access to all
necessary supports.
While we are unable to comment on the status of the individuals involved, our thoughts are with
them during this difficult time.
We thank our members for their continued dedication to the safety of our communities.
