Halifax District RCMP respond to armed robbery

On September 19, at approximately​ 6:30​ a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at a convenience store on Main Road in Eastern Passage

Upon attending the location,​ Police confirmed that a lone male suspect wearing a dark winter jacket,​ a black mask, a​ wine coloured​ baseball hat​ and​ carrying a black bag​ entered the store armed with a firearm and demanded cash and cigarettes from the employee.

The suspect was described as being a white male, approximately five-foot-eight inches tall, of medium build and in his​ mid twenties. The​ suspect​ fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. Nobody was injured as a result of this incident.

The investigation by the Halifax District RCMP and the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is continuing.
