Police investigate vehicle pedestrian collision
Police are investigating a vehicle pedestrian collision that occurred in Halifax last night.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle pedestrian collision in the 300 block of Lacewood Drive. A 36-year-old woman was crossing Lacewood Drive in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a west-bound vehicle. The woman was transported to hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
The driver was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian while in a crosswalk, which carries a fine of $697.50.
