Residents invited to share feedback on future of Strawberry Hill and surrounding areas

The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to share feedback on the future of Strawberry Hill and surrounding areas in several upcoming open house sessions at the Halifax Forum.

Since Regional Council initiated a comprehensive neighbourhood planning process for the Strawberry Hill Lands in March 2024, a number of development proposals and expressions of interest have been submitted for the area and can be viewed here.

At the upcoming open house sessions there will be an opportunity to speak with municipal staff about your vision for Strawberry Hill, as well as future services, community amenities and infrastructure needs in the areaWith significant development anticipated, it is important to ensure that the required social, transportation, municipal services and utility infrastructure are in place and can serve the needs of the existing and future community in an equitable and sustainable manner.

Public Open House
Two separate sessions will be available to attend in the afternoon and evening on Wednesday, August 14:

  • 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.

The sessions will be hosted at Maritime Hall at the Halifax Forum, 2901 Windsor Street (Almon Street entrance). All sessions will provide the same information. Registration is not required.
