Emergency crews were deployed to a realistic scenario where an incident at a chemical yard saw a massive propane leak at a rail car and a victim unconscious in the gas.

HAZMAT crews had to suit up and determine the best approach, including planning appropriate evacuation and victim rescue, with EHS standing by.

Once the victim was rescued, crews began the task of safely determining the cause of the leak and the fix, eventually capping the leak and making the area safe.

Fire crews constantly train for various scenarios, and realistic training like this is creates a visual and fast action exercise that demands sharp skills and problem solving skills.
