Halifax Regional Police are on scene for a shooting call in the 0-200 Block of Colford Ave., Dartmouth
HRP is requesting the public refrain from going to the area while members are conducting the investigation.
One adult man was shot by an unknown assailant and has received serious but non-life-threatening injuries and has been transported to the hospital for treatment.
The investigation is only in the initial stages at this time.
