UPDATE
In relation to the incident below; one man has been taken into custody; there were no reported injuries.
Police will remain on scene while the investigation is continuing
Roads have been re-opened to traffic and access to the Halifax Tower hotel has resumed.
We thank the public and Hotel client for their cooperation during this incident

Halifax Regional Police are currently on scene for a weapons related incident at the Halifax Tower Hotel located at 15 Lakelands Boulevard in Halifax.
There is no threats to rhe public, please avoid the area for the time being.
Hotel clients are advised to shelter in place until further notice.
Update will be provided once the incident is completed.
