Kings District RCMP investigating fatal collision

Kings District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Cambridge.

On April 11, at approximately 7:56 p.m, Kings District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a collision on Riverside Dr. in Cambridge. Upon arrival at the scene, RCMP officers learned that a tractor trailer and a Honda CRV were travelling in opposite directions when they collided.

The driver and sole occupant of the CRV, a 48-year-old Kentville man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the tractor trailer, a 29-year-old New Glasgow man, did not suffer physical injuries.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene. The investigation remains ongoing and is being assisted by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
