Police investigate assault

Halifax Regional Police are investigating an assault that occurred this morning in Dartmouth.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of Wyse Road in relation to an injured person.

Officers located a man in his 50s with non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

The investigation is in the early stages and a police presence will remain in the area for an extended period of time.

Additional information will be provided if it becomes available.
