New Glasgow Regional Police charge a 60-year-old female with four counts of Abandoning Child, New Glasgow, N.S.
On August 06, 2020, New Glasgow Regional Police have charged a 60-year-old with four counts of Abandoning Child, Section 218 of the Criminal Code.
The charges stemmed upon a lengthy investigation where police responded on July 29, 2020 to a distress call, that four young children were left in a vehicle at the New Glasgow Walmart parking lot unattended. Emergency Health Services responded and transported all four children to the Aberdeen Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and were later released.
The young children ranged from ages 1 to 9 years of age, three girls and one boy.
All children were left unattended in the parking lot.
The 60-year-old female from Pictou County has been released and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou at a later date.
