Police investigating arson.
Police are investigating an arson that occurred earlier today in Halifax.
At approximately 8:37 a.m. police and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded to a fire at a residence in the 3400 block of Barrington Street in Halifax.
There was one adult female taken to hospital for smoke inhalation as a result of the fire.
Fire investigators believe the fire was intentionally set.
The fire was quickly extinguished by Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages and investigators in the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are asking anyone with information about this incident to call 902-490-5020.
