Inverness County District RCMP investigating fatal ATV crash
Inverness County District RCMP is investigating a fatal ATV crash that occurred on a trail in Southwest Mabou.
On October 15, 2023, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Inverness County District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of an ATV crash on a trail in Southwest Mabou. RCMP officers learned that an ATV had been travelling north on the trail, when the ATV left the road and came to rest in a ditch.
The driver, and sole rider, of the ATV, a 60-year-old Rankinville man, suffered life-threatening-injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance. Sadly, the man was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing.
