Police charge driver in vehicle crash

Halifax Regional Police has charged a man in relation to a vehicle crash that occurred last night in Halifax.

On September 6 at approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to a vehicle crash in the 5000 block of Hanover Street in Halifax. The driver of a semi-truck collided with several parked vehicles causing extensive damage. Police arrived on scene and determined the driver to be impaired. He was arrested without incident.

A 35-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face charges of driving a conveyance while impaired, operating a conveyance with a blood alcohol concentration over 80mg% and dangerous operation of a conveyance.
