Walker Edison Twin Over Twin Bunk Beds recalled due to Fall and Impact Hazards

Issue

The wooden slats supporting the bunk beds can break while in use, posing fall and impact hazards.

As of July 12, 2023, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the Unites States, the company has received 14 reports of the bunk bed slats breaking and one report of a minor injury.

Affected products

This recall involves Walker Edison Furniture Twin Over Twin Bunk Beds. The wooden bunk beds were sold in various colors and finishes. All models have a ladder down the side. Walker Edison Furniture, Made in Brazil, and the model name are printed on a label on the inside of the bed rail or foot board.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Walker Edison Furniture to receive a free repair kit consisting of 12 wooden slats and new instructions if the product was purchased between August 2020 and August 2022.
