Man arrested on province-wide arrest warrant
New Glasgow Regional Police has arrested a 33-year-old male on a province wide arrest warrant in relation to a 911 call about a disturbance in the Town of Trenton on July 29, 2023 Saturday morning.
Pye was located at a nearby residence in Trenton and was arrested without incident.
Jeffrey William Pye 33, from Trenton, is charged with;
Being unlawfully in a dwelling house.
Theft under $5000.
Disguised with intent to commit an offence.
Forcible confinement.
Two counts of assault.
Uttering threats against a person.
Mischief under $5000.
Abduction of a person under the age of fourteen years by lawful caregiver.
No one was injured in the incident and NGRPolice continue to investigate.
Preliminarily investigation has indicated that this was an isolated incident and no threat to public safety.
Pye was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Provincial Court in Pictou on Monday August 1st 2023.
