Update: Police asking for the public’s assistance in homicide investigation

 

RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is asking for the public’s assistance in relation to a homicide investigation in Middle Sackville.

On July 3, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Halifax District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a man with life threatening injuries at a home on Sackville Dr. in Middle Sackville. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and the death has been ruled a homicide by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Office.

The victim has been identified as 71-year-old Noel Fredericks of Middle Sackville.

At this time, investigators are seeking information in relation to the identity of a woman, driving a maroon coloured vehicle, who is believed to have attended the victim’s business, Noel Fredericks Auto, located at 1250 Sackville Dr., on July 3 at approximately 6 p.m.

Officers are also looking to speak with anyone who may have been in the area, that same day, and may have dashcam footage.

The investigation is ongoing, being led by Homicide Investigations in the Special Investigations Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division and is being assisted by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Office, RCMP Forensic Identification Services and Halifax District RCMP.
