Police continue to investigate the murder of Chauntel Lizette MacIntyre
Today marks the first anniversary of the murder of Chauntel Lizette MacIntyre and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case.
On May 17, 2022, at approximately 12:45 a.m. police responded to a report of an injured person in the area of Sylvia Avenue and Herring Cove Road. Officers located 37-year-old Chauntel Lizette MacIntyre who had been stabbed.
She was taken to hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and ruled the manner of death to be a homicide.
Investigators believe there are people who have information that could help solve Chauntel’s murder. We hope the passage of time will encourage them to do the right thing and come forward with what they know.
The smallest piece of information may be just what is needed to progress the investigation.
