Leland Lynds has been safely arrested in Sussex by Royal Canadian Mounted Police in New Brunswick. Further details to be released as they become available.

Man wanted on Province-wide arrest warrant

Cumberland County District RCMP has obtained a warrant for the arrest of a man charged with a firearms offence after an incident that occurred on March 21 in Wentworth.

Leland Lynds,​ 54, from Wentworth, is charged with:

  • Unsafe Storage of a Firearm;
  • Failure to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order

Police have made several attempts to locate Lynds, however are requesting assistance from the public.

Lynds also goes by “Lee”. He is described as 5-foot-9, approximately 155 pounds, has gray hair and green eyes.

Investigators believe that Lynds may be armed.

Anyone who sees Leland Lynds is asked to refrain from approaching him and to call police.
