Speed limit changes coming to Hines Road and Caldwell Road
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the speed limit will be reduced on segments of Hines Road and Caldwell Road in Shearwater/Eastern Passage.
Hines Road between Raptor Way and Caldwell Road will be reduced from 80 km/h to 70 km/h. Caldwell Road between Hines Road and De Said Lake will be reduced from 80 km/h to 70 km/h. Caldwell Road between Hines Road and Civic 1500 will be reduced from 70 km/h to 60 km/h.
Crews will be posting the new signage this week.
This change is a result of an assessment of the corridor, related to changes in conditions and activities along the roadway.
