Police charge man with robbery
Police have charged a man in relation to a robbery that occurred earlier today in Dartmouth.
At approximately 1 a.m. East Division patrol officers and a K9 team responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Circle K store located at 575 Main Street. A man came into the store, produced a knife and threatened the employees before fleeing on foot with a quantity of cash.
The suspect was arrested without incident in the area of Cedarwood Drive with the assistance of Halifax District RCMP patrol members.
Jason Alan Brown, 45, is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court today to face the following charges:
- Robbery
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
- Possession of stolen property
- Disguise with intent
