Kings District RCMP, with assistance from Valley Ground Search and Rescue and EHS, located three lost hikers at Cape Split.

Just after 10 p.m. on June 29, RCMP officers were dispatched to the Cape Split hiking trail after receiving a call from a hiker that their group had become separated and needed assistance. Valley Ground Search and Rescue and EHS were called to assist. With the help of PA speaker equipment and sirens, RCMP located the caller, a 67-year-old female. Several hours later after searching for the remaining hikers on all-terrain vehicles, members located a 46-year-old male and a 46-year-old female. There were no injuries.

Kings District RCMP would like to thank their partners for their help locating the hikers and bringing them to safety.
