Traffic Delay – Marginal Road and Lower Water, Duke and Upper Water streets
Location: Marginal Road and Lower Water, Duke and Upper Water streets
Date: Sunday, March 12
Time: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate the 2023 Halifax St Patrick’s Day Parade.
Traffic impact: Traffic delays are expected as the parade travels through the community. The parade will begin at Pier 20, head north on Marginal Road, turn right and continue north on Lower Water Street, with parade participants dispersing either via Duke Street or Upper Water Street. The event will be traffic controlled and escorted by Halifax Regional Police. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Public Service Announcement
Road Construction – Larry Uteck Boulevard
Location: Larry Uteck Boulevard at the intersection of Brookline Drive (north) and Broad Street (north)
Dates: Tuesday, February 21 to Friday, March 10 Friday, March 31
Time: Weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is related to the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Larry Uteck Boulevard, Brookline Drive and Broad Street.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic will be in place while work is underway. Pedestrian access will be provided around the construction site with the assistance of traffic control personnel. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes during this period. Altered centerlines will be in place outside of these hours.

Traffic Delay – Bayers Road
Location: Bayers Road (between Connaught Avenue and Micmac Street) and the intersection of Connaught Avenue and Bayers Road
Date: Thursday, March 9 to Friday, March 10
Time: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. (overnight)
Details: Traffic delays will be in place to facilitate overhead cable work.
Traffic impact: Bayers Road (westbound) will be reduced to one lane of traffic, and the traffic signals will be shut off at the intersection of Bayers Road and Connaught Avenue, while work is underway. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to direct stop-and-go traffic. The sidewalks will remain open. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Canso Causeway
The Canso Causeway is reduced to one lane for repairs during the evening and overnight until March 31.
Work takes place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., seven nights a week. Traffic control will be on-site. Both lanes will be open during the day.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice due to a bridge closure.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Apple River Bridge
Apple River Bridge, on Shulie Road between Advocate and Joggins, is closed until further notice due to structural damage.
Signs and a detour are in place.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102, Bedford/Lower Sackville
Highway 102, from Exit 4A to Exit 4C, will have lane reductions and intermittent road closures on the northbound and southbound highway for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 Interchange.
Highway 102 northbound and southbound, Highway 101, Bedford Highway, Bedford Bypass, Duke Street, Glendale Avenue and Sackville Drive will have intermittent road closures for blasting until June 30.
Traffic control will be on-site. Road closures for blasting will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Lane reductions will occur from sunrise to sunset Monday to Thursday and from sunrise to noon on Friday.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp is closed until September.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame
Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.
