Halifax District RCMP investigating fatal crash
Halifax District RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Hwy. 2 in Grand Lake Station.
On February 17, 2023, at approximately 8:35 p.m., Halifax District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 2 in Grand Lake Station. RCMP officers learned that a car was travelling on Hwy. 2 when it left the road and came to rest in a ditch.
The driver, and sole occupant, of the car, a 23-year-old Halifax man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Hwy. 2 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
