Police issue 159 tickets for speeding and other vehicle-related offences
This week the Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit issued 159 tickets in relation to speeding and other motor vehicle-related offences.
Monday to Thursday, members of the HRP Traffic Unit issued 159 summary offence tickets: 27 for speeding, 35 for no insurance and 97 for other offences including illegible license plates, passing school busses with stop lights on, faulty equipment, invalid inspections and using a cell phone while driving.
We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe. If you see someone driving dangerously, report it to police by calling 911.
