Ice Festival – MEET THE ICE CARVERS
This year we have a talented line-up of 9 ice carvers for the Downtown Dartmouth Ice Festival presented by East Coast Credit Union.
❄️Renowned ice artist, Richard Chiasson of Ice Creation Glace is back again from New Brunswick with decades of ice carving experience.
❄️Also joining us from New Brunswick is International award-winning sculptor and lifelong artist, Joel “Swamp Bear” Palmer of Swamp Bear Art – Joel Palmer –
❄️Residing in Nova Scotia, Chandana Kapila and Rob Milner, will be back carving again this year! Chan is sous chef at The Port Pub & Bistro in Port Williams NS & Rob is a competitive power carver that works with both wood and ice!
❄️Claude Roussel & Mathew Nuqingaq will be joining us at Ice Festival for the second time this year! Claude spent 12 years in Nunavut where he worked closely with Iqaluit-based, multi-talented artist Mat Nuqingaq. Mat has worked to create & promote Inuit art for over 20 years.
❄️NEW this year, we have our very own Darren Hudson. A veteran lumberjack, world champion log roller, and operator of Timber Lounge Axe Throwing – Dartmouth
❄️Artists and NSCAD students, Ada Denil, and Neil Kehler will be joining us and down at Alderney Landing!
