Freezing drizzle advisory in effect

Areas of freezing drizzle are expected or occurring.

Locations: most of mainland Nova Scotia.

Time span: until Friday morning.

Remarks: Freezing drizzle will continue tonight into Friday morning, especially inland. Parts of the coast can expect a transition to rain later this evening if it has not already occurred.

Freezing drizzle will at times be mixed with flurries.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Freezing drizzle advisories are issued when drizzle falling in sub-zero temperatures is expected to freeze on contact, and over time create icy surfaces.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to NSstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports using #NSStorm.
