Police Investigate Robbery & Arrest Suspect
At 9:23 p.m., on the 22nd of November, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery at Fujiyama Restaurant, 5244 Blowers Street Halifax. The caller reported a male and a female took a change jar and assaulted a staff member when fleeing with the jar. The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot. A staff member sustained minor injuries. The suspects are described as:
Suspect – White Male, 30-40 years, thin build. Wearing: Red jacket.
Suspect – Black female, 20’s, thin build 5’-5’6”. Wearing: Black hooded shirt.
Multiple patrol units and two Police Service Dogs responded. Officers located the male suspect near by on Barrington Street and arrested the male without incident. The female was not located.
A 38-year-old male from Halifax is held for court and will be facing a charge of Robbery.
