Police Investigate Robbery & Arrest Suspect

At 9:23 p.m., on the 22nd of November, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery at Fujiyama Restaurant, 5244 Blowers Street Halifax.​ The caller reported a male and a female took a change jar and assaulted a staff member when fleeing with the jar.​ The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.​ A staff member sustained minor injuries.​ The suspects are described as:​

Suspect – White Male, 30-40 years, thin build.​ ​ Wearing: Red jacket.

Suspect – Black female, 20’s, thin build 5’-5’6”.​ ​ Wearing: Black hooded shirt.

Multiple patrol units and two Police Service Dogs responded.​ Officers located the male suspect near by on Barrington Street and arrested the male without incident.​ The female was not located.​

A 38-year-old male from Halifax is held for court and will be facing a charge of Robbery.
