Simon Morrison Homicide Added to Rewards Program
—————————————————————-
The government is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the homicide of 18-year-old Simon Morrison of Halifax.
Early on April 16, 2022, a shooting on Brunswick Street prompted multiple 911 calls to Halifax Regional Police. On arrival, officers found Mr. Morrison close to the intersection of Uniacke Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the medical examiner ruled his death a homicide.
Investigators believe people may have information they have not shared with police that could result in arrests and possible charges in relation to Mr. Morrison’s death.
“Anyone with information about this act of gun violence against Simon is urged to come forward,” said Brad Johns, Attorney General and Minister of Justice. “I hope the addition of this case to the rewards program will assist investigators in identifying those responsible.”
Anyone with information on this crime should call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090. People who come forward with information must provide their name and contact information and may be called to testify in court. All calls will be recorded.
