Police charge four people at construction site in Dartmouth

 

Police have charged four people in relation to offences at a construction site in Dartmouth earlier today.

 

This morning at approximately 7:30 a.m. officers responded to reports of a planned demonstration in the area of Mount Hope Avenue near Highway 111. Officer were on scene to ensure public safety for everyone in the area.

 

Four individuals in the group attempted to obstruct police and were arrested. While being arrested one of the four also assaulted an officer.

 

A 45-year-old man, a 41-year-old man, a 27-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court to face one count each of obstruction.

 

The 57-year-old woman is also facing charges of assaulting an officer.
