Police charge man in relation to sexual assault and criminal harassment incidents

Police have laid charges in relation to nine incidents where a man sexually assaulted or criminally harassed women in the Bedford area this month.

The incidents occurred between August 9 and 26 in the area of the Kearney Lake Dam Trail, Broad Street and a trail in the area of the 0 to 100 block of Amesbury Gate. In each case, a man approached a woman who was not known to him and touched her in a sexual manner or criminally harassed her.

Mohammad Jamal Shned Al-Dulaimi, 18, is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of:

  • Criminal harassment (x 7)
  • Sexual assault (x 6)

Police charge four people for robbery

 

Police have charged four people in relation to a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth this weekend.

 

On August 27 at approximately 6:30 p.m. police received a report that a robbery had occurred near the intersection of Ochterloney Street and Alderney Drive. Four people approached a man who was not known to them, demanded his property and assaulted him. They then fled the area on foot.

 

Police located the four suspects later that evening in the area and they were arrested without incident.

 

Dallas Edwards, 22, Curtis Lee Dewolfe, 21, Kyle Gordon Joseph Buffett, 18, and Mikayla Smith, 21, are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face one count each of robbery.
