Police investigate robberies
Police are investigating three robberies that occurred in Halifax yesterday.
At approximately 2:35 p.m. officers responded to a robbery in the area of Percy and Andrew streets. Two men approached another man who was not known to them and demanded his money and property. The suspects fled the area on foot with an amount of cash. The victim was not physically injured.
The first suspect is described as 5”6” tall, in his twenties with straight black hair and wearing a dark-coloured shirt and shorts. The second suspect is described as 5’6” tall, in his twenties, approximately 150 lbs. with straight brown hair and tattoos on his face and both arms.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. officers responded to a robbery on a walking path in the area of the Mainland Commons near Gristmill Court. A man with a knife approached another man who was not known to him and demanded his money and property. The victim fled the area and the suspect did not get his property. The victim was not physically injured.
The suspect is described as a white man in his twenties or thirties, approximately 5’9” tall with short blonde/brown hair.
At approximately 11:25 p.m. officers responded to a robbery in the area of the Halifax Transit Terminal on Mumford Road. A man approached another man who was not known to him, assaulted him and attempted to take his property. The suspect fled the area on foot empty-handed. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The suspect is described as a white man in his twenties or thirties, approximately 5’6” tall and wearing a black hooded sweater and pants.
