Police Investigating Shooting in North Preston

The HRP/RCMP Guns and Gangs Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a shooting that occurred in North Preston.

At approximately​ 8:55​ p.m. last night, Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of a shooting that had occurred on Amos Walter Dr. in North Preston. Police learned a 24-year-old man incurred a non-life threatening injury and an outside of a residence was damaged.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the HRP/RCMP Guns and Gangs Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division. The investigation has been assisted by Halifax District RCMP, the Halifax District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit, Halifax Regional Police, RCMP Police Dog Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services.
