Police Arrest man for overnight Robbery
At approximately 00:11 A.M on May 30, 2022, patrol members responded to a report of a robbery at the Irving gas station located at 219 Pleasant Street in Dartmouth. A staff member reported to police that a man had robbed the store while armed with a weapon, taking a quantity of cash and tobacco products and then fled on foot. Patrol members, assisted by a K-9 unit contained and searched the area. Within a short time, police were successful in locating and arresting the suspect, also recovering the stolen items.
Officers arrested a 28-year-old man from Head of Chezzetcook in relation to this incident. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial court today on charges of Robbery, Trespass by Night and Resist Arrest under the Criminal Code of Canada.
