Special air quality statement in effect for:
Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Light southeasterly winds have transported smoke from a fire in the Burnside area of Dartmouth to some valleys downwind of the fire.
Individuals sensitive to reduced air quality should limit outdoor activity if in the affected areas this afternoon and this evening. At this time, this is expected to be the only special air quality statement for this event.
