Police advise the public of planned street closures for the Blue Nose Marathon
Police are advising the public of the planned street closures in relation to the Blue Nose Marathon in Halifax this weekend.
HRP is prepared for the Blue Nose Marathon and will have officers performing traffic control along the route to help ensure the safety of participants and road users.
On Saturday, the 5KM and Youth races will take place between 8 a.m. and noon in downtown Halifax. On Sunday, the 10KM race and full and half marathons will take place between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. throughout Halifax and Dartmouth.
On both days, road closures are expected to begin at 5 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. in some locations. Consider planning ahead and expect delays, particularly along the marathon route.
We thank citizens in advance for their co-operation and ask for everyone’s patience as the events are happening.
Good luck to all of the participants!
